Nothing Left to Say

My parents were still on the ground in the center of the room, but I didn't look at them instead I walked to the window.

I looked at the bodies on the ground. She didn't spare them a glance. As if, it would hurt too much.

I looked back at him, I knew what well who he was looking at, "Those are my parents," I said quietly before looking out the window, the same window he had forced me to look out that day.

I gave a single nod. "I'm sorry."

"It isn't your fault." Images were going through my mind as I looked out the window, images I had seen, a man getting attacked, children biting their parents, people panicking and screaming, children crying and trying to run away. So many people's lives were completely changed, billions of them all over the world and all of them had one person that they had and still did blame it all on. Me. I felt like I was going to pass out or collapse, when it had happened I hadn't understood as much as I did now and now that I understood it was almost too much to handle correction it was too much to handle. I was so wrapped up in my thoughts I didn't realize I was on the ground until my vision went black, I must have passed out and collapsed...

I threw my crossbow to the side. "NATALIE!" I rushed over and caught her before she hit the ground. Sat down on the floor and rested her in my lap, my hand holding her head up.

Did someone yell my name? I think someone yelled my name... Why were my eyes closed again? Oh yeah, I passed out... Because I started overthinking stuff...

I looked around. I would understand why she fainted, but I think I may have just made a mistake.

'Ok Natalie open your eyes,' I thought to myself then surprised myself by actually doing it.

I jumped a bit when she opened her eyes. "Natalie?" I whispered.

"Yeah?"

"Are you alright?" I looked around. I couldn't see out the window from so low a vantage point.

"I think so, they won't come in."

"But will they wait outside?"

"Not for very long they get bored quickly."

I nodded then I realized she was still draped over my lap.

I blushed a bit, "Um I can get up if you want."

"Alright." Why was her face red? That never happened, I've never seen it.

I quickly stood up.

I stood up and grabbed my bow.

"Sorry for collapsing."

"It's fine."

I nodded slightly and looked out the window.

"They're still there, aren't they?" I asked, walking up to the window.

"Yeah, but a few just walked off."
