I didn't answer her. I couldn't even look at her. "You were part of the team that did this," I whispered. "You were the head of the team, you did this."

"No, I'm sorry... I can't... I can't stay here." I moved to walk, but winced when I set my foot down. I closed my eyes and bit back the whine on my tongue before clenching my teeth and continuing to walk out of the room.

I sighed softly and cleaned up the glass, I had known he would find out at some point and I wasn't going to force him to stay. At least he didn't try to kill me...

I was crying by the time I was at my room. I started shoving things into my bag as quick as I could, glad I didn't start to get comfortable. I needed to leave as soon as possible.

I finished cleaning up the glass and set a first aid kit outside his room, I wasn't sure if he would actually use it, but I wanted to help as much as I could.

I got all my stuff packed and walked outside, stopping and starring at the kit. I took it and I walked downstairs and out the front door.

"You too." I started walking, bypassing the fence and down the street. I needed to get somewhere safe to bandage up my feet.

I found an abandoned building and bunkered down in it. I started to search for gauze.

I washed them off with some of my water before wrapping the bandages. Once I got that done, I started crying. For real, full on sobbing, I couldn't breath, my face felt hot, sobbing.

Eventually, I was just tearing up silently while on my side. It felt good to let out emotions, I guess. I just, didn't know what to think anymore.

I sighed and thought about my team, we had each specialized in a different aspect of the virus and while none of us had been killed as far as I knew, but we might as well be dead seeing as we were split up and scattered across the country.
