I heard my door unlock and looked up from my door as it opened. Knowing it was time for dinner I closed the book and stood up then walked over to the door. Without saying a word, I followed the officer to the dining hall and fell into the line.

"So, Officer Stupid, what's on the menu?"

((She's not on good terms with anyone, so, yeah.))

Charles sighed. "Detective Connors, if it's not too much trouble," he said in his lightest tone. "And if you would like to know what the cooks are serving, why don't yyou ask Mauricio?" He gestured to a short, heavyset Italian man who was happily preparing to make omeletes.
((I've got to go for a bit. Might not be back on today.))

((You guys can write Mauricio and the Detective if you want. Mauricio is cheery, polite and wise, and the detective is polite, caring and smart.))

((Jk, I guess I'm not leaving...))

I grinned as sweetly as I could. "Noted."

((Brb, dinner!))

Charles smiled and gestured for them to start going through the line. "Right this way." Mauricio grinned as the kids began filing through. "Hey, Sydnee!" He exclaimed jubilantly to the first girl in line. "We having omlettes today! You pick your own toppings and put them in one of these cups." Mauricio gestured to the small plastic cups on the table. The shy girl smiled to the chef and picked up a cup, starting through the line. Mauricio grinned and greeted each kid as they came through. Charles smiled. He loved how Maurie was never fazed by anyone's looks or personality. He gave them all the same love.

I paced back and forth in the cell until new clothes slid under the door. I grunted and took off my shirt, tossing it over the camera as I dressed. "Place your tray by the door, please," a man's voice said over an intercom as I yanked the sweats on. "And please remove your shirt from the camera." I lifted up the shirt and grinned, letting it fall back over the lens. I placed the tray by the door."We will not be able to give you food or retrieve your trays till you remove the shirt." I slumped onto the cot and lay back. "I won't be able to remove the shirt till you remove the door."

I didn't mind the cook. I just didn't want to be here. I got what I wanted and sat down with a murmured thanks.

Charles sat at the head of the table, next to his colleague, James Crook. "Poor kids," he said as he watched the Elven teens eat their food. "I can't even imagine..."

I drummed my fingers along the wooden table but didn't eat. I played with my good mostly and ignored everyone.

((Going to the mall with my family. Sorry, bye!))

I got up and went to the door. I placed my hands on either side and gave a good push. the door fell outwards, and alarms started blaring.
((Sall good. Bye!!))

I looked up as the alarms blared and smirked. While everyone was distracted, I grabbed several forks and dashed to the exit and left while running down the halls.

I raised an eyebrow as I noticed another girl take off, with silverware, down the halls. I almost got up and followed her, but the initial shock of the alarms going off had worn off. Everyone would have noticed if I'd left. 
Shrugging, I went back to eating. Whatever the girl was planning probably wouldn't affect me, anyway.
