Tumblr Academy reimagined

I got out of Alistair’s grip and slipped into my Poseidon side again as I ran back to my dad, I was trying to heal him with all the water I could gather.

Kira: I tried looking around. "Come on out, Azazel!" I called, looking around, pulling my angle blade out as well, so I was holding two blades in both hands. "I know I'm the one you want!"

((So, who should be possessed, you think? One of the squad or one of the gods?))

I kept trying to heal him and basically let the others keep an eye on things. I flinched when I delete something happen with Athena, “Check on Athena.”

Alistair: "I don't know what Athena looks like!" I was looking around. Olympus was destroyed, but it was still impressive. "Who did this?" I whispered to myself right as the elevator dinged. "Look alive!" I called to Nic and Aiden.

Monsters swarmed out of the elevator as soon as the doors opened, my archer's reflex working instantly to take down several of them in just as many seconds. Draw, aim, fire. Repeat. I wasn't sure how so many of the monsters had come through the elevator at the same time, but they didn't seem like they'd stop coming any time soon. My immediate worry was what I would do when my quiver ran empty.

Aiden: I ran forward and held my arms up and attempted to aim fire at them, but nothing came out. "What the heck?" I asked looking down at my palms before looking up as . "Holy-!" I brought my arms up to block an upcoming attack from above. "My fire doesn't work!" I called before upper cutting something (I wasn't sure of the name at the moment) in the jaw (if it was a jaw, my logic didn't seem to work here).

"I wondered if that would happen," I replied, taking out another monster then quickly sidestepping to shoot down one of the enemies about to attack him head on, immediately swinging back to position. "You did get a weapon though, didn't you?"

"My entire suit is a weapon!" I called, punching something else. "But it doesn't seem to be doing anything! Aren't these things supposed to be turning into dust? Or bleeding, at least?"

I paused, trying to remember the explanation I'd been given before about the monsters in this world. One of the campers had tipped my arrows with the metal that can kill them before the last battle, where I stayed with the archers. "Only a certain metal can kill them!" I called back. "I'd toss you the dagger that I got earlier of that metal but--" I paused, stabbing a monster that suddenly rushed me with the arrow in my hand and kicking it away, "I've got my hands full."

I shoved one away from me. "Here!" Alistair called before throwing one of his swords at me. I caught it with one hand and turned around, slicing through one of the monsters just in time. As expected, it turned to dust. I started laughing. "That's so cool! It has to be celestial bronze, isn't it? I mean, I have to get this back to Shu-" Before I could finish geeking out, more monsters came and I had to continue with that. "Okay, Nic, show me what you got! First to 25 wins!"

"I'm already at 12!" I called back, then fired off two more shots quickly. "14," I corrected. "Unless we're not counting my head start." My quiver fit 24 arrows, so I'd either have to take 2 down with one shot or switch to the dagger, which seemed hard with the faced paced action this battle had turned to.

"I'll catch up! I'm at 5 already!" I called, running forward, slamming my blade through three at once, piling one on top of the other. I looked around, slowly getting surrounded, which made me smirk. Aunt Natasha told me that this meant I could attack in any direction. I quickly swung my blade 360 degrees, decapitating 6. "11!" I called.

I let several attack me head on, shot drew back to the bow's limit and released. The arrow sliced through 3 heads, the monsters disintegrating instantly. I shifted slightly to the left, ducking as claws raked by my face, quickly shooting that monster as well. I didn't have time to stand up straight as I was swarmed on my right side while my focus was shifted.

I quickly jumped onto one's chest, plunging the sword between my feet before pulling it out and using it as a platform to propel myself to his side, being Extra and twirling a bit in the air while at it. I landed at his vulnerable side and started hacking away. "You know, my Uncle Clint would like you. He's amazing with a bow and arrow as well."

I immediately got up straight. "Then he would probably also understand that archers are more of distance fighters, not generally on the front lines," I grunted as my bow was ripped from my hands. The bronze dagger flew into my right hand instantly. I settled for my sax knife in my left despite it not being effective for killing these things.

"Yeah, he's better long range, but still uses arrows for stabbing when need be." I quickly rushed forward, attacking in a line to get his bow back. "Don't worry, I got you covered!" I called.

I stabbed a monster through the heart with the bronze knife, keeping others away by slicing my other knife at them. They watched warily from arm's length away before I killed them too. I wondered if he realized I was trained to work with knives as well as the bow. I wasn't helpless without it.

I slashed through several of them before stabbing the one that took his bow right between the eyes. I quickly grabbed it and looked around. The crowd was starting to thin out. "We almost got it!" I called to him, dropping down to my knees and sweeping through legs, killing of lot of them that way.

I glanced over my shoulder at him, instantly noticing the monster about to attack him from behind. I inhaled then threw the bronze dagger across the distance, planting the blade in the monster's rib cage before it faded to dust. I'd run out of arrows before too. Now I didn't have a weapon that could kill them. Smart move, Nic, I scolded myself. Way to disarm yourself.

I looked over at him. "HERE!" I yelled, throwing the sword his way while stooping down to pick up his knife. There had to be around 35 left, and I needed him to help me.

I yelped barely catching the sword, dropping my knife to do so. "This is NOT a ranger weapon! I've never used a sword before," I panicked, not sure the technique to use for a sword. My muscles were NOT equipped for the movement that wielding a sword required. Gorlan's beard everything had gone poorly fast. Searing pain pricked through my side as one of the monsters took my lack of defense and momentary panic to stab me. I cursed loudly.

When I saw what happened, my vision turned red. I hated seeing people hurt, worse when it was people that I liked. I bulldozed my way to him even with a knife and slashed everything close when I was with him. I quickly took the sword and handed him the knife and made sure nothing came close until they were all gone.
I took deep breathes, all the energy that I had used was catching up to me. I feel to my knees and looked at him. "You... alright?"

I clutched my now-bleeding side with one hand. "I'll be fine," I insisted, though at the moment my body felt like it was disagreeing with me. "I've lived through worse than this."

"Come on," I gently pushed him so he was on his back. "Vibranium is great for this." I gently pushed his shirt up to reveal where he was pressing the wound without obstruction and placed my hand right under it. "Move your hands, I'll be quick, I promise."
