New Year, New February RP?

"Yeah, I didn't think so... maybe we could find a way to make some jerky or something though."

((So, did we have this set up so that the rich people could choose to donate supplies to them or affect the scenerio?))

I nodded and looked up at the sky.

((Yeah, that's part of why I was thinking maybe it should be some kind of arena and maybe they can even change the landscape or something, but they would have to have some pretty advanced tech for that, just because then they could control the weather and pretty much everything))

I looked around a bit, I had that feeling that I was being watched again.

((I think that they can affect things like, donating supplies, choosing to release certain wild animals in their paths or people raiding their supplies when they sleep. They have to pay to request these certain things to happen to them.))

I crossed my arms over my chest and closed my eyes. "We should camp out here for another day before heading West."

((Sounds good!))

I nodded slightly.

((That way, it's not too Hunger Games but still interesting.))

I opened my eyes and drank my water. "I'll go fishing in a second, want to come with me?"

((Yeah!))

I nodded slightly and glanced at one branch, the angle was irritating me for some reason, "Hey, that branch doesn't move with the wind like the rest of the tree."

I frowned and walked over to the tree. I grabbed my spear and started climbing up to the branch.

I stayed quiet so I wouldn't distract him.

I climbed a bit above it before I started kicking at it, trying to knock it out. It wasn't wood, otherwise it would be more solid. It seemed like I was dislodging it from the tree until it fell, crashing through the other branches and landing on the ground. "What is it?" I called down to her before starting to climb down.

I poked around the branch a bit and found some wiring and started following it, "It looks like some kind of surveillance equipment."

I jumped the last few feet down. "Well, I'll be darned," I muttered. "Someone has been watching us." I looked around, keeping my spear on me. "But what for? And who's watching?"

"I have no idea."

"I have no idea."

I looked at the wire that was trailing off in the woods. I used my spear and drove it through the wire, cutting it. "We'll follow that when we set out tomorrow."

I nodded slightly, "Hopefully it leads us back to civilization right?"

I nodded. "Or to another human who knows what the heck is going on." I looked back to her, away from the cord. "Do you want to stay here while I fish? That way, no one can come and steal the cord without our knowing."

"Yeah, that would be bad."

I nodded and handed her my Swiss Army knife, pulling out the actual knife and carefully handing it to her. "Be safe, and don't stab yourself."

I nodded slightly, "You too. Minus the stabbing yourself part, I mean I guess you could accidentally stab yourself with the hook... I'm going to stop talking now."

"It's a lance. I don't have a fishing pole," I spoke, laughing before I started walking away.

I felt my face flush red and really hoped he hadn't seen it before he left.

I took a deep breath, still smiling as I walked over to the edge of the lake. She was kinda cute with her face flushed like that. I sat down at the bank, and took off my shoes and socks before rolling my pant legs up to my knees before I started walking into it, looking for any fish nearby.

I tried to get the blush to go away since I didn't know how long he was going to fish for, but I also kept an eye on the cable.

I spotted one nearby and stabbed, calculating for the indent. I felt my lance go through, and held it up. "Perfect," I muttered before taking it off and tossing the fish to the shore before turning back to get another one.
