New Year, New February RP?

We had it set up in record time. "Can you make sure everything is properly stored while I make a fire?"

I nodded and made sure everything was stored.

I found some good kindling and got the fire going soon enough. I sat down next to it and looked up at the sky. "This is day 5, right?"

“I think so.”

I sighed and looked down at my feet. "Do you want to sleep, or first watch? I'm not very hungry, but I can make you something, if you'd like."

“I’m fine with either and I’m not really hungry.”

I nodded. "Go sleep. I'll watch."

I nodded slightly and laid down in my fort.

I pulled out my machete and looked around, keeping watch.

I fell asleep pretty quickly.

I sighed and closed my eyes. I was so tired and homesick.

I stayed asleep.

I just stared at the fire before I decided to use the rest of the meat. It needed to be cooked anyways before it spoiled. We would just pack it up with us. I just needed anything to distract myself from the silence. There were night sounds of the forest, but they were constant and it was constantly drumming on my mind. I really felt like I was on the verge of a mental breakdown because the stress and fear was starting to get to me.
Of course, none of these thoughts crossed my expression, as I remained externally stoic as ever.

I woke up after a while.

I was looking up at the sky, humming a bit, thinking, strategizing.

I carefully got out of my fort.
