New Year, New February RP?

I thanked her for the water bottle and looked at her again. She looked... different with her hair down. Not that there was anything wrong with her hair up, but she looked more relieved now. However, one strand was falling out of line and into her eyes, so I gently brushed it to the side and tucked it behind her ear.

I blushed a little and mumbled, "Thank you," after he moved the strand for me and used a couple of the bobby pins I had had in the bun to hold my hair out of my face.

"You're welcome." I stood up and looked around. "I'm going to go on my hike now. I'll be back in maybe a couple hours. Do you think you'll be fine for that long or would you like a weapon as well?"

"I think I'll be ok, I'm going to try to organize the camp a little better."

I nodded. "Good luck." I grabbed a large stick and started dragging it on the ground with me, leaving an indented trail behind me so I could find my way back.

"You too," I mumbled before going through the supplies, I started separating them into piles based on what they were used for, then started trying to figure out storage, the food definitely needed to stay in the one crate we had left and stay covered to help protect it, I wish we could dry out the fruit somehow, I would have to ask Cephas if he had any ideas when he got back. I was definitely glad that whoever had sent us here had included my EMT backpack with all my medical stuff, it was unfortunate that they had unpacked it and folded it up, but now I had time to reorganize and pack it up so that was ok.

I looked around for any signs of humans. Any footprints, any signs of fire, any discarded anything that wasn't human. All the while, leaving the trail so I could double back. There was nothing so far, and it was beginning to look like we were truly alone for miles upon miles upon miles...

I finished packing my medical stuff up and moved on to the clothes, we had kinda just stuffed them in the back pack, so I took them out and started folding them, organizing them into who's was who's as I went.

That thought alone was enough to drive anyone nearly mad. I shook my head. We had to be somewhere, because no one is nowhere. For all of this, this was going to give me clues as to where we were.

I found something I could use as a divider in the bag and carefully repacked the clothes so we could easily figure out who's was who's.

I observed the nature. The small critters that passed by in the branches, the kinds of critters they were. The trees that were here and what seemed to be their properties. I was getting a pretty good idea as I started walking back to camp after an hour.

I had finally finished organizing everything when he got back and was sitting by the fire, "Hey, any luck?"

I sighed and sat down next to her, dropping my spear and taking a long drink from my water bottle. "There is no sign of human life for miles," I muttered. "We're so isolated, but I think I know what region of the world we're at." I looked up at the sky.

I nodded slightly, "Where do you think we are? Also are we positive this isn't some kind of arena? There was a book I read a long time ago where some kids were stuck in an arena and had to survive."

"It's kinda hard to build an arena, considering my hypothesis is that we're in the Rocky Mountain region in Canada."

I nodded slightly, "Makes sense, sorry I get kinda paranoid sometimes, I keep feeling like there's someone watching me, but there's no one else here so that's stupid."

"No, don't worry about it. I think you're right. I feel like I'm being watched to, but there are literally no signs of life for miles." I sighed and leaned my head back for a second. "This kinda sucks. I'm across the country of where I should be."

I nodded slightly, "I honestly doubt my parents have even realized I'm gone yet..."

"My dads are probably freaking out and there might be a minor scare in the army security," I muttered.

I nodded slightly, "My parents are use to me not being home when they are and vice versa they'll probably realize I'm gone when my manager calls or it gets to Sunday and I'm not there for family dinner."

"Dang. I'm sorry." I sighed and closed my eyes. "If we continue heading West, we'll end up on the coast, if my hypothesis is correct, and if we continue traveling down the coast, we'll end up in civilization sooner or later."

I nodded slightly, "Ok. Oh! I was wondering if you had any ideas for preserving the fruit, I was thinking if we could find some way to dry it out that would be good, but yeah..."

I frowned a bit, trying to think of easy techniques for drying out fruit. Did I know any?

"It's ok if you can't think of any, I can't either."

"I'm afraid I can't think of any processes that will work out here in the wilderness. I'm sorry."
