Nic: "Trying to, anyway," he responded to Kira.
I sighed a little bit. "Since introductions are done, I think it's time we get Matt normal clothes for the area," I told everyone. "After that then we can head back to the cabin and have some dinner, then you guys should head back to the inn and get some rest before we figure things out tomorrow."

"Sounds good, Nic." I looked around. "Hopefully we don't attract too much attention."

"It's probably already too late for that," I replied, a bit frustrated with it all. I just had another person, who technically wasn't a person, join our band of misfits trying to save our worlds. That meant one more person to look after and make sure isn't drawing too much attention. I realized that I didn't have enough rooms at the inn for Matt to stay there. He would have to take my room, which was fine since I planned on being out anyway, which I hadn't told the others yet. I led the way back to the stalls we'd bought from earlier to let Matt find new clothes.

((Brb, half hour.))

Alistair: I kept a lookout, making sure no one was getting too suspicious of our presence.

Matt: I found clothes and shoes that would fit me well and Nic quickly paid for them for me before leading the way to a cabin. Everyone walked inside so I followed after them. A man looked up from the kitchen as we walked in. He studied me uncertainly.
"Who's the new friend, Nic?" he asked.
"His name is Matt," he replied quickly and led me to his room to let me change.
"You can stay in my room tonight," he told me after I was in the new clothes.
I paused and glanced at the man uncertainly before whispering back to Nic. "I don't sleep."
"Then pretend you do. I need you to pass as human here," he said, then we joined the others around a table in the kitchen.

Liv: Artemis started following Matt, I could tell he was still trying to figure out how he worked.

Nic: Artemis was not good at hiding the fact he was still studying Matt. Luckily Matt seemed to be patient despite obviously not wanting to be studied like that.
I headed over to Caldwell as he was preparing enough food for all of us, quickly helping him prepare things.
"Where do you keep finding these strange folks?" he asked me in a quiet voice.
"I don't know. It's like they fall out of the sky," I joked, glancing at Aiden and remembering how he actually had fallen from the sky.
"You're not planning on adopting them or something, right?" he asked again.
"They're my age, Caldwell."
"Then you really need to stop mother-henning them so much, don't you think?"
I hesitated. They weren't used to this world. I hadn't thought I'd been overly protective of them, but perhaps I had been wrong. "Perhaps..."

Artemis: "So you don't sleep or eat? Do you have to charge or anything like that?"

Matt: I was glad that she was quiet, and that Nic and Caldwell were in the other room and out of hearing range. I couldn't help but feel like Nic would have freaked if he'd heard her ask me that. "No, I don't do either of those. I have a temporary shut-down setting so I don't waste energy, but that's not really sleeping," I told her. "And I don't charge. I have a regulator that keeps me working. If that got damaged then I would die, unless it were replaced soon enough."

((Sorry forgot I switched to Liv earlier that was supposed to be Artemis))

Artemis: "Interesting, so do you ever just run out of energy? Without the regulator malfunctioning I mean."

"Not for a very long time. I could run for 170 years as long as all my parts are functioning correctly and remain undamaged."

"That's incredible, it's definitely more advanced than anything I have in my world right now."

Aiden: "I'll say. Man, I would love to learn from you, Motown. I feel like there is a lot you could teach us. But, if that's uncomfortable for you, don't worry about it."

I shrugged a little. "If possible it would be interesting to compare our worlds and the technology of them sometime." I stopped as Nic walked back in, followed by Caldwell. They brought food with them and plenty of silverware for everyone. I was offered a plate. "Oh, I'm not hungry," I replied immediately, hoping that sounded like a human answer. I tugged my hair to that it better covered my LED so that Caldwell couldn't see it.

Kira: "I'm starving," I muttered. I hoped they weren't expecting me to be "lady-like" because "lady-like" just wasn't a trait among female hunters. Dean was more prissy and high-maintenance than me, and we all knew it.

((Kennedy, do you know where Kay's Hollow is? I feel like you do, but I could be wrong.))

Nic: "Then hopefully you like stew," I replied, handing her utensils and sitting down. We had fresh fruit also, set on the table next to the pot of stew. I glanced around at everyone. It was odd having so many people in here. I was used to just Caldwell and me in the dining room, occasionally Maddie and Will or some other rangers as well.

I smiled. "Thank you very much."
Alistair: "Yes, thank you. It's much appreciated."

((Are you talking about Kay’s cross? I’ve never heard Kays hollow))

((Kay's cross is a haunted place in Utah and its apparently in the woods right behind the elementary school near my house))

((Yeah, in a few weeks, an episode of Ghost Adventures is going to air where they're investigating that place. So, coolio! I'm sure in my ventures in seeing you in person has had me within a close proximity to it. I've noticed on a map that it's close to Barnes Park.))

"Thank you for letting us in and feeding us," I said addressing Caldwell this was clearly his home and he wasn't use to so many visitors from what I could tell.
