Nothing Left to Say

I had fallen asleep at one point, too relaxed to resist. It was night time anyways, probably better to sleep than risk the possibility of running into a horde in dark vision.

I woke up when the sun came up because it was pretty much shining straight in my face.

I woke up when she moved. I looked down at her, gently brushing a strand of hair out of her eyes. "Hey," I whispered.

I smiled slightly, “Hey. Did you get some sleep too?” I was whispering too not wanting to bug Tony.

I nodded slightly. I slowly let go of her and sat up.
"I'm awake, you know." I looked over and saw Tony, patiently sitting up, looking over at us.

I quickly moved back to my seat, “Sorry.”

Tony: I pointed to the door. "I-I can leave if y-you'd life. I don't w-want to be intru-in-in..." I stopped speaking. My face felt heated. I couldn't form or say the word. I just kept repeating the first sound. The stress of the moment I was in made me feel more uncomfortable than I had in a while.

“It’s fine, really, you don’t need to get out.”

((I'm rereading Super Hero Test on here and crying because of something you said to me.))

I nodded and curled up in the seat. It was probably better if I didn't talk, it always made things worse.

“Sorry if we made you uncomfortable...”

((I was super depressed and you told me that I was valuable because I was irreplaceable.))

I shook my head. "I'm always uncomf-f-fort..." I stopped. "Uncomfortable," I spat out, clearly pronouncing each sound clearly. It was a trick my mom had taught me that would help me pronounce the words better.

((Oh, got it))
I nodded slightly, “The apology still stands.”

((Ye))

I nodded. Draven slid back into the driver's side and started the car up again.

I pulled the map out and quickly found where we were, I had drawn in the path we were going to take so it wasn’t difficult

Tony: "Where are we going?" Finally, I got my stutter under control.

“We’re going to Amelia’s safe house, she was the most hesitant of the group, she still did her job fantastically, but yeah.”

"Amelia?" I tilted my head. "What did she do?"

“Helped make it contagious and undetectable before it was too late.”

I felt my stomach drop. "Oh."

I glanced back at him, “Sorry if that was too blunt...”

I shrugged. "It's fine." My voice was a higher pitch.

It was obvious that it wasn’t fine, but I didn’t pursue it.

I bounced my leg constantly, looking out the window.
Draven: "How far out are we?"
