Nothing Left to Say

Amy: I wouldn't admit it to anyone else, but my pulse started getting a bit faster, and I was a little nervous to see Thomas again. We pulled into the driveway, past the gates.

Amelia: “Ready to see the love of your life again Amy?” I asked smiling innocently.

I glared at her. "He's not the love of my life, Amelia. Fairy tale crap like that doesn't exist. Bring it up again and I'll hit you."

Amelia: “Uh huh sure he isn’t, does that mean I could take your pulse right now and it would be normal?” I pulled in behind Nat and Thomas shut the gate.

"Oh. It's elevated, my pupils are dilated, my breath is a little short, and I am about to have my capillaries widen but please spare me and remember I have brain cells. There's no happily ever after. Just happy now."
Tony: I mouthed some of the words Amy had said while looking down at my lap. "Die-lay-ted?" I frowned. I hadn't heard that word. "Cap-cap..." I tried visualizing the word as she had said it. "Cap-larries." I had a feeling I wasn't saying them right...

Amelia: “Unless this cute idea works.” I glanced at Tony.

Amy: "Well drop the cute idea." I quickly climbed out of the car.
Tony: I stopped. It's not like I was ever going to use those words. What was the point? I didn't even know what they meant. I glanced at Amelia, but I didn't say anything before getting out of the car.

Amelia: I rolled my eyes a bit at Amelia before turning to Tony, “By the way Tony you’re welcome to ask me questions whenever you want.”

Tony: "I don't have any questions. I uh... just... never heard them words before..." I rubbed the back of my burning neck. "I s-suppose it d-d-don't m-matter, I d-don't use 'em anyways. No need kn-know 'em." I looked away from her, hoping she didn't notice my stutter too much and got a good look of Thomas.
He looked... cool. Very well-put together, sure of himself, dressed very well despite us being in the middle of the apocalypse. He could have easily been placed as a genius scientist that worked for the government by anyone who didn't know him.
I looked down at myself. The dirt under my nails, the grease stands on my hands. My grimy, tattered, worn, and ill-fitting clothes,. How long had it been since I changed into anything else? I had these clothes since the apocalypse started. I just washed the same set each time they got too noticeably dirty, but only with water, nothing else. And now they were fading in color... falling apart at the seems. I picked at one of the threads hanging from my too-short sleeve that was now clinging to my forearm kinda uncomfortably. I stood out like a sore thumb.

Amelia: “If it helps, Draven isn’t exactly a genius either, he kinda thinks he is sometimes, but yeah... that’s why the others didn’t like him because he acted like he knew more than he did and would kinda fake his way through instead of asking questions. Well that and he would distract Nat and they were fans of PDA.”

Tony: "In Draven's defense. Y'all are an intimidating group, and I haven't even met all of the team and I feel like I gotta jump through hoops to fit in." I walked over to her side and leaned against the car next to her.
Amy: I stayed back a bit from where Draven and Nat were giving Thomas the run-down. I didn't want to come across as too excited that I was here.

Amelia: “Why do you want to fit in? We’re basically terrorists...”
Thomas: I listened to Draven and Nat, it was weird that Nat was pulling a complete 180.

Tony: "But you all... know things. A lot of things. Me? Not so much. Shoot, if I can't toss it in a pot and serve it on a plate, I don't waste too much time thinking about it."
Amy: I gently walked over and decided to casually duck under his arm so it was wrapped around my shoulders. "Yeah, I was thrown off too. I think Nat's heart grew three sizes that day she met the new kid," I gestured my head over to where Tony and Amelia were talking.

Amelia: “None of us are very good at cooking, I mean we can get by, but yeah. It’s been nice having someone who can cook around.”
Thomas: I snickered a bit while Nat rolled her eyes.

Tony: I felt a heat coming up and flooding my cheeks. I tried hiding my face from her. "It's nothing," I muttered.
Draven: "Should we head inside?" I looked over at the crowd of zombies who were wandering around just outside the gate, not daring to touch it.

Amelia: “It isn’t nothing.”
Thomas: “Yeah, That would probably be a good idea.” I opened the door to let them in, luckily I was a compulsive cleaner so the house was actually clean.

Tony: I didn't reply any further. I just followed the others inside, waiting a bit for Amelia.
Draven: I walked inside, looking around. "I'm shocked that this place is clean."

Amelia: I followed quickly.
Thomas: “Why are you shocked it’s clean? My area at work was always clean. Why wouldn’t my home also be clean?”

Tony: I stayed with her while I stood silently, not really feeling the need to converse.
Draven: "Well, your other team members were human tornadoes with their research, so I just prepare myself now. Besides, I didn't spend too much time looking at your work area." I shrugged.

Thomas: “My other team members are human tornados and they don’t have OCD.”

Draven: "Yeah, true."
Amy: "So, have you made any more progress in your research? I brought my notes to compare." I looked up at Thomas.

Thomas: “Thank you, but I really need Isaac’s notes... Isaac and I kinda Intertwined out parts to make them both stronger.”
Nat: “By the way I take offense to being called a human tornado, I know where everything is,” I muttered when Draven came back.

Amy: I nodded and looked around the house.
Draven: I kissed her cheek. "Yeah, I know you do."

Thomas: "So is the plan to get the gang back together? Seems to be going well so far of course Vicki and Isaac are going to be hard to convince, they loved this project more than life itself."
Nat: "Thank you."

Amy: "Yeah, I'm optimistic, too," I muttered sarcastically.
Draven: "You're welcome."
