The Power of the Eyes

I was walking down the halls quickly, and listening to my music. So, I wasn't really paying attention, until I crashed into a girl with bluish-green eyes. "Sorry!" I said quickly.

Alice Goodwin, goes by Al or Ally. Preferable Al. Carmel colored hair that people refer to as "rust" colored, which wasn't dyed. Green eyes, the color of a sour green apple. Doesn't have powers... Yet... Mostly because I haven't come up with any yet... Fail on my part... About 5'6" and is shy and sweet. Doesn't have many friends because she is too shy. Usually hides in the back of the room, never drawing attention. Will learn to come out of her shell eventually.))

My books fell to the floor. "Ugh, not again!" I said, bending down to pick them up.

"I really am, so sorry!" I said, helping her.

"It's okay, I'm just kinda having a bad first day. It hasn't been all bad, though." I said.

There were books scattered around. I bent down and picked them up quickly, handing them to the girl. I didn't say anything for a moment, but then I managed to whisper "Here are your books" quietly. My face flushed as I spoke. I was so shy. No one spoke to me, unless they were bullying me. I hurried away, my long dress flowing behind me. I usually wore dresses that my mom bought me. She didn't live with me, and I missed her. I always loved her gifts. I heard someone say something about my rust colored hair but didn't reply.

I was walking around the hallway daydreaming partially bumping into other people until I tripped over some girls books and fell to the ground. I fell on my arm, I sat up. "Gahh..." I said holding my arm. I then looked up at the girl with Auburn hair and earthy brown eyes, her eyes and her hair were beautiful, I stared for a while then noticed I was daydreaming again and I got up and brushed myself off and picked the last book up for the other girl. "H-hi I'm Braydon... Braydon Daxter." I said holding out a hand.

I hurried down the hall looking at the ground people were so mean! Since I wasn't paying attention I accidentally ran into a group of people then quickly jumped back out of habit, "sorry! Please don't yell at me!"

My day kept getting worse and worse. If only I could see those eyes again. I snapped myself back to reality. Those eyes belonged to a really tall boy who probably didn't even see me earlier, even though he picked up my books for me. I also had more immediate problems to deal with. "Hey, no problem. Just be more careful next time, okay?" I told the girl.

I had managed to make it through the first part of the day just fine. Now it was lunch. I still didn't really know anyone, in fact, the only name's I could remember where of the first two people I met, Issa and Tessa. I looked around for an empty table but couldn't find one. Finally I saw Tessa sitting towards the back of the cafeteria by a window and decided to go ask her if I could at least sit at the table. I walked over to her, slowly, trying to think of what to say. When I got to her, she looked tense, but I had come all this way and didn't want to look like an idiot by backing down now. "H-hey. Um, we kinda met this morning. I-I was wondering if I could sit here, at this table. I'd leave you alone, I just need a place to sit and you're the only person I recognize." I told her shyly, most likely sounding like an idiot.

We weren't supposed to be outside while eating lunch, but I was anyway. I'd rather not have to spend a long time with a huge crowd of people who are shouting across the lunchroom. It would be made even worse by the fact that no one would have sat with me. I lay on the grass in front of the school. Why did everyone always distance themselves from me? I had never done anything. ((Can she have powered over the seasons? Like, around her the seasons change? Would that be okay?))

I didn't know his name, but he helped me up. He was kind of cute, his eyes undoubtedly unforgettable, but I didn't know his name! While at lunch, I was looking for him, I didn't have many friends, I just transferred schools a month ago.

I thought to myself how people would react if I suddenly disappeared. Honestly, I doubted that anyone would care. What about a huge personality change, suddenly becoming a rebel. Would people accept me then? I doubted it, they'[d just call me a freak or something. I sighed and looked up at the clouds. I was too nice, I let people push me around. Why wasn't I stronger?

I didn't know where to sit for lunch everyone was always so mean, plus none of them wanted me to sit with them finally I saw a mostly empty table and started walking over to it. As I got closer I recognized the girl from earlier who for some reason hadn't yelled at me, "Uh do you guys mind if I sit her?" I asked quietly.

As I was quickly looking around, someone stuck their foot out, and I tripped, my food spilling everywhere. "No! My fries!" I said as they scattered everywhere. I could hear laughter everywhere as well.

I heard a car door closed and looked up. The principal and come back. He was early. He always went and got fast food, and he wasn't ever back this early. He saw me and headed towards me. I let out a small squeak. Oh gosh. I was going to get into so much trouble. He stopped when he was right in front of me.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, his hands on his hips. He wasn't messing around.
"Eating lunch." I squealed in reply.
"Get back into the lunch room and eat in there." He snapped.
"Yes sir!" Was my high-pitched response. I got to my feet, grabbed my stuff and hurried inside, feeling his gaze on my back. I glanced into the lunch room. Every table was filled. I was not going in there. Someone tripped and my feet moved on their own. I walked inside and helped them up.

I was mad. I stood up and turned to the tripper. "Hey, what's the big idea, jerk-wads? I was looking forward to those!" I shouted.
At what point does one admit to themselves that they have a temper?

I squeaked as she drew attention. Yelping, I hurried to the corner of the room and hid. People were talking. I'd been noticed.
