New Year, New February RP?

I sighed softly.

I found a good branch and sat on one a little under it. I pulled out my pocket knife and started using the wood saw on the top to separate it from the trunk.

I kept watch and looked for cameras.

Once it was sawed down enough, I climbed up and started slamming down on it with my foot until it broke and fell to the ground. I climbed down the tree and started dragging the branch back to base.

I looked up when I heard him coming back.

I sat down at our base and started whittling it down to I could turn it into a spear.

I tried to get the fire going again.

I watched her a bit while whittling.

I got it going again.

I smiled a bit. "Look at you, starting forest fires."

I smiled a bit and grabbed one of the water bottles.

I continued, eventually having a uniform handle. Now I would start whittling the tip, making the pointy end so it would be an actual spear.

I drank some of the water.

"How is it? Is it clean?"

“It tastes clean and I used the water purifier on it.”

"Nice to know that someone gave us a working one," I muttered.

I nodded slightly.

"Can I have some, please?"

"Yeah, of course." I handed him one of the bottles quickly, then looked around a bit. The sun was pretty high in the sky now, so I would've thought it would be warmer than it was.

I drank quickly. I was so thirsty. I hadn't drank anything in about a day and did a lot of physical labor. I observed the weather patterns, trying to get a better reading on where we were.

"I'm going to go get more water." I grabbed the purifier and both of our now empty water bottles and walked back to the stream.

I continued whittling, now finished with the point and began whittling the handle part down so it was thinner and adjusted for my personal grip and height.

After I finished filling the water bottles I took my hair out of the braided bun I had put it in before I went to sleep the night we were taken, because it was already falling out and I was hoping that having my hair down would be warmer.

I watched her a bit as I finished the final touches on my spear. Well, spear wasn't the right word. I modeled it after a lance, with a long wooden blade at the end. I stood up and swung it experimentally, satisfied with the way it felt. "Perfect," I muttered.

I handed him one of the bottles so he could take it with him if he decided to head out again and for once I was grateful for my long hair because it did help warm me up a bit. Back home it was annoying because it was always so hot so it was always up in a ponytail or a bun, but I loved how wavy it was right now after being braided for almost two days.
