New Year, New February RP?

((Deal. Well, I've never liked starting... want to start? And then we'll wait for Jaydinn?))

((I can start. I have class in a half hour.))

((oh, evening class?))

((Yep. So, do I start?))

I shot up suddenly, taking in a deep breath, panicking. I looked around quickly and I was not in my room. I scrambled to my feet and took in my surroundings.

Geeze, it was cold suddenly. I felt a slight draft and tried to pull up my covers, but my reach fell empty. Where was my blanket? I sat up, suddenly becoming aware that I was not in my bedroom anymore.

I woke up and looked around maybe I was dreaming? I’ve had weird dreams like this before...

I heard the movement and reached for the holster on my ankle, the one that had my knife, only to find it empty save a granola bar. I dropped down and looked for it on the leafy ground, but there was nothing. I looked at the source of the noise and was shocked to see that it was just... two girls, kinda small, the both of them, or I was just tall. They didn't seem threatening, but that could be misleading.
"Who are you, what's going on?" I called.

((Btw, Cephas wears a military-tight t-shirt to bed. Do what you want with that.))

"Woah, Hi..." I looked this guy up and down. He was almost intimidating. I swallowed the intimidation and stood up, Holding out my hand to introduce myself. "I'm Leila." I tried to run my fingers through my hair so I seemed more friendly, but my hair wasn't there. Oh boy... this was going to be rough.

It was too cold to be a dream I looked at the guy when he spoke and mumbled, “Mackenzie.” Ugh why did I choose to wear sweats and a T-shirt to bed it was freezing out here.

I looked her up and down before shaking her hand quickly and looking at the other girl before looking up at the sky. I didn't know where we were and the trees were obstructing the sun so I couldn't get a precise time, but I could guess it was either early morning or the evening, depending on whether it was rising or falling.
I went back to the area, looking for anything to help us.

I got up and spotted a few crates, “Hopefully there are clothes in those.”

I looked over at Mackenzie, "I hope so, girl, I am envying your sweats right now." I looked down at my bare legs. "Apparently today was not the day to rely on blankets for heat."

I rushed over and looked at the names engraved in them. I found mine and opened it. In it was my Swiss Army knife, a lighter, my good jacket, and an empty backpack.

I opened mine carefully and found my medical equipment and thankfully a coat and some good shoes.

I looked around. "Does anyone have food, or medical supplies?"

“I have medical supplies, but no food.”

I walked over. "Good. My name is Cephas Devereux, ma'am. My dads were in the military, I won't know where we are until tonight when I can see the constellations. I don't know why we're here, though, but I'm guessing it's a test of some sorts. We gotta survive and to do that, we need to pool our resources."

I nodded slightly, “Mackenzie Greer, I’m actually training to be an EMT so I know how to use this stuff.”
