((Meh, I was bored... You were at school...))

I laughed to myself, trying to imagine what it would look like trying to tell my dad about the whole thing. There was so much I disn't tell him. I glanced at Lyle and back to my own eyes in the mirror. They were bold, VERY BOLD. Lyle stood there in silence, and I did too. It felt like a moment where I should have leaned my head on his shoulder. My crutch would only get in the way. I looked down at my crutches, thinking.

"Hey, we could get you some sun glasses!" I said, interrupting the silence that had fallen.

"Why would I--Oh. That may be a good Idea." I nodded. "One problem."

"What?" I asked.

I dramatically looked down at my lack of foot. "I don't know..." I replied sacrcastically.

"Is it your foot?" I asked.

I laughed, and almost replied with more sarcasm, but decided against it. "I don't want to walk all around town to get sunglasses."
(((FYI. She doesn't own any sunglasses...)))

I smiled. "I could go get you some from that one store." I told her.

"What do I do in the mean-time?"

"Figure out a long term fix. You can't exactly go around at night wearing sunglasses." I told her, grinning.

"At night, no one would really notice, Lyle..."

"Hmmm... Let's try it first, though, just to make sure." I said, closing the door and turning the lights off. I gasped. "Well, THAT won't work." I breathed, staring at her beautiful, glowing eyes. All I saw were her irises, which made it kinda eerie, but it also kinda made sense. I mean, why would the cornea glow, too?

(((Pupil? I believe the cornea is INSIDE the middle of the eyeball...Emma won't search it for me....)))
He reached over and flipped the switch, the lights should have turned off, but they didn't. "Well, THAT isn't going to work..." he said.
"Yeah, it's odd... I don't know why they didn't turn off. You DID switch the fl--" I paused, and corected myself. "Flip the switch, right?"

((Adi, its cornea. the pupil is the hole you see out of.)) "Yeah, its off. But your eyes are GLOWING!" I said in awe.

"It's... my... What?!" I couldn't comprehend what he was saying. Eyes don't glow, escpeccially when the light was ON.

"Look at the light switch. It's off." I said, gesturing in the general direction of the light switch.

I looked behind his head. "What... how?" It was off. And suddenly I realised what was happening. "Lyle... I can... see in the dark." It made sense, extra light from my now glowing irises making up for the lack of light.

"I think..."I paused, making sure I was saying what I meant. "It is perfectly bright in here. It's like you never turned off the lights. To you, I assume it's dark, and you can't see, but I can."

(((Her pupil doesn't glow either, right?)))

I shrugged. "I guess they don't normally glow. But mine do!" I said excitedly.

I nodded. "Yeah. I'm going to need them..."
