I smiled, resting my head on his chest and shoulder. This was the kind of thing I needed right now. Being with him was the best way of relaxing.

((I am not really attracted to any of my male peers. Only fictional men and a handful of male celeberties. This is really presumptuous of me, but I only really see women my age as dating material now.))

I gently used my hand to hold the back of his head, my fingers digging through his hair a bit. I gently rested my chin on top of his head.

((Yeah I dunno most guys our age have trash for personalities so I feel ya. I'm waiting for college where there'll hopefully be actual variety in guys and not just a bunch of idiot who don't care about anyone but themselves.))
I never wanted to move. I couldn't remember the last time I'd felt so safe and secure and relaxed. For a moment I forgot what I would be doing soon. It was just me and Aiden, and that was enough for me.

((I'm in college. I don't know about decent guys yet, I'm not looking. I'm just trying to survive.))

I closed my eyes and let myself get lost in the moment. I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to do anything like this again, get this close again. Nic was so sure, and I had faith in him, he wasn't reckless. But when you care about someone, you just can't help but be worried about them. I tried to push these thoughts out of my mind, however.

((You're still in high school, just taking some college classes. That doesn't count!))
I took a deep breath before slowly pulling away, grabbing one of his hands in an attempt to stay close to him for a little while longer.

Artemis was frustrated because he couldn’t come up with a plan.

((I am enrolled in a college, attending on campus and taking college classes, just like every other college student, that totally counts! I'm doing both high school and college. I have college credits from my college classes and I'm half way through to earning my associates degree!))

I held onto his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "We'll get through this. I have faith in you."

I grinned. "I know. Glancing over his shoulder I saw Artemis pacing and trying to come up with a plan. I frowned a little. "Artemis," I called. "Seriously, just relax. I have a plan already, so just do me a favor and stop worrying."

Alistair: "Should we start preparing for when you win the duel? You know, like, packing our things so we can get ready to go to your world, Nic?"

Artemis: “I’m always making plans about something.”

I rolled my eyes at Artemis before pausing at Alistair words. I hadn't even thought about ending up home next, but it made logical sense. We fought a demon from Kira's world in Olivia's world, and we ended up in Kira's home. It was most likely that we would all head to my world next. That combined with Alistair saying "when" to me winning the duel made me unable to stop a giddy grin. It took a second to get my brain back on track. "You could, or you could watch," I paused. "I don't know how much I would take from your worlds into mine, though. It's better to blend in, and your things will stick out greatly. We can sort out your clothes there, though."

"I might have a set of clothes of my own that will greatly fit in. From what I know, my first world is very much like your own, but less... magic-y. I'm always packed, everything in this bag, not just books," I patted my bag.

I nodded. "As long as none of you go around flaunting the things for your worlds you all should be fine there."
((Would you say it's time to write the duel? I can probably do it over two or three long posts if you'd like, so that your characters can still give their reactions to it.))

((Sweet. I guess the next time I can post I'll be posting a long post of the duel))

Artemis: “my money isn’t going to work there, is it.”

I started laughing a bit. "No, I fear it won't." I wasn't fearing at all. I looked forward to it immensely.

"Yeah, unless your currency is in royals, then no. Sorry, Artemis." I gave him a small smile before I saw the shape of Wargals in the distance. I squeezed Aiden's hand before letting go and hopping easily into the horse's saddle. "Looks like it's time," I managed. I felt the nerves bundle inside me again and took a deep breath. "Don't worry too much about me." Before I could hesitate or get choked up I quickly spun the horse around, trotting towards the spot where Morgarath rode out before his army.
He glanced at me, obviously noting my lack of a sword. "Do you plan of facing me without a weapon?" he laughed.
"I'll use my daggers instead," I told him firmly.
"That's not a traditional duel," he snapped.
"Rangers aren't traditionally in duels," I responded confidently. "And I'm sure you wouldn't want to pass up an opportunity for killing a friend of Halt."
He hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Then we fight."

Liv: I stayed close to Alistair and watched.

Aiden: I bit down on my thumb nail, trying to prevent myself from crying out or anything. If I felt this stressed, I could only imagine how Nic was feeling.
Alistair: I gently kept my arms around Olivia in case she broke protocol and tried to step up. That would be bad for all of us, very bad indeed.

We turned our horses around and charged each other in unison. I could feel Aiden's suit protecting me, which helped lower my tension. I quickly raised my daggers up over my head, anticipating a blow from above since Morgarath's height was much greater than mine. I held them so that the blades faced up, the backs resting on the hilt of the other. His blow fell right where I anticipated, easily stopped by the two small blades, though the impact thudded through my arms and into my shoulders. Then we'd raced past each other, spinning around quickly.
I could feel his glare on me as we charged again. I studied the way he leaned towards me as we sped towards each other. The angle of his elbow suggested that he was going to attempt a sweeping low blow, at the legs of my horse. I jerked the reigns to the side and she immediately responded, leaping out of danger as Morgarath's sword flew past her legs. He'd gone for my horse sooner than I expected. I would have to be reckless now to get a chance to beat him.
I took a deep breath as we sped towards each other, quickly slipping my daggers into my belt and gabbing the hilt of the saddle, swinging a leg over. Still holding onto the hilt firmly I swung myself at his horse's legs before he had a moment to react. As his horse toppled with him a glancing blow struck across my ribs, ripping my grasp free and slamming me into the ground. I gasped for air as I clutched my ribs. I had definitely felt cracking.

Aiden: I covered my mouth with my hands as I watched him go down. I couldn't yell, it would be distracting. But if my medical analysis was correct, things had just gotten a lot harder for him.

I grunted as I stumbled to my feet. That blow had really hurt, and so had hitting the ground. I knew I had to finished this quickly. Morgarath managed to get to his feet, though he heavily favored one side. After getting a leg crushed as his horse fell I wasn't too surprised. That left that side weak and more open, but I was sure he would know that. I pulled the daggers from my belt again.
Hopefully I would be able to do better on the ground like I hoped. It would be easier had I not broken my ribs, but I was willing to fight through the burning pain. He glared at me.
"I will not lose to another insufferable teenager," he hissed, though both of us seemed reluctant to advance on the other. Finally he charged me, swinging his sword wildly. I managed to block his strike, and he instantly came for a second one. I sidestepped the ghost strike and slashed at his fingers. He dropped the sword as blood gushed from where two fingers were now missing. He screamed and for a moment I thought he was going to stop, but instead he threw a quick punch, nailing me in the face. I stumbled back, tripping over his sword and he threw himself at me.
"You Rangers think you can outsmart everyone around you," he laughed. I shuddered a little, realizing just how insane he had gotten after being brought back to life. He was worse than Halt's stories depicted him. "I think it's time you lose." He reached back for his sword, forgetting that I still had my knives in my hands. I stabbed him in the chest, right through a chink in his armor. I crawled away as he ripped the knife from his chest. He stared at me and made an attempt to rise, but collapsed and lay still.

Liv: I ran over to check his injuries since the fight was over now, “we need a first aid kit or something! Kira?!”
